Monday 7th December 2020: Data platform company, RegulAItion has been selected by Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as a finalist in the 2020 Global Fintech Hackcelerator.

The goal is to develop innovative market-ready solutions that will enable the financial sector to respond to two of its most pressing global challenges today - COVID-19 and climate change.

Shortlisted from over 270 submissions from across more than 40 countries, RegulAItion will be competing in the final of the Local Programme, which commences today.

The RegulAItion team has a strong pedigree in creating market-ready solutions that use bleeding edge technologies. Earlier this year, it announced its ground-breaking AIR Platform that blends privacy enhancing techniques, blockchain and AI in order to transform the way in which regulated organisations across the globe share data.

RegulAItion’s 2020 Global Fintech Hackcelerator team is led by its CTO, Paul Lee-Simion. He is renowned across the industry for generating billion dollar revenue streams for banks and insurance companies and his work has dominated financial markets for 30 years.

Other members of the team include Hirsh Pithadia, Head of R&D, who previously developed a blockchain system for data sharing in the context of the Bank of England and FCA’s famous Digital Regulatory Reporting initiative.

“Being selected to participate by such a progressive and ambitious financial centre is an absolute honour for the team,” commented RegulAItion CEO, Sally Sfeir-Tait. “As a British-based company the selection by MAS underlines the progress we have made in disrupting the world of regulated data. It marks an important milestone as we continue to make strong in-roads into the Asia financial and regulatory markets.”

The winner of the 2020 Global Fintech Hackcelerator is expected to be announced on Thursday 10th December with each winner receiving $50,000 in prize money.
